ACN Telecommunications is a direct selling company that offers a variety of telecommunications services. Among these are their flagship products, video phones & video calling. The services ACN offers also include: digital phone service, fixed telephones, mobile & high speed internet, wireless, satellite TV with DirecTV & DISH Network and home security with ADT.
ACNInc, as they are also known, is a direct sales company offering a business opportunity for home-based business providing products and services in a current trillion dollar industry (telecommunications). They are the worlds largest direct sales company in the telecom industry. The company was founded in 1993.
ACN has been recently featured on Donald Trump's show "The Celebrity Apprentice". Donald Trump has personally given a hearty endorsement to this company as well. You may not know it, but Donald Trump has endorsed the network marketing industry as a whole.
This company, in particular, he has singled out and featured as one of the hottest opportunities in MLM today. He has met the founders and indicated that he was impressed with their integrity and dedication to the success of their team members.
The company is headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and operates in 20 countries covering North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific (Australia & New Zealand). Common names searched and used for ACN are: ACN, ACNInc, ACN Telecommunications, ACN Telecom & ACNEuro.
You may be asking if ACN is a scam or hearing about the "ACN pyramid" based on a couple of legal actions. Many times, legitimate MLM companies are confused as pyramid schemes by the uninformed. ACN has been referred to as a scam or the "ACN pyramid scheme" on various sites or publications such as MLMWatchdog.com. This can be traced, in most cases, to a couple of court cases/complaints from back in 2004 and 2005.
The decision made in Australian Federal Court was overturned shortly thereafter. The case from the Canadian Competition Bureau did not even survive the preliminary hearing. Do I think these decisions are correct? Well, I'm not a lawyer, but based on my understanding of the cases and the industry, I believe they probably are the correct decisions.
The problem is that many people with an axe to grind will use legal decisions that have been found without merit and overturned in courts of law, or complaints that have been long since resolved, as sources of the their negative spin about a company or MLM opportunity. They often don't mention the source or they fail to update you on the current status of that mentioned court case or complaint.
The point is that many of the most trumpeted scams in MLM sometimes stem from one or two isolated instances that just won't die, even when those issues have been resolved by our courts. These two cases, which were found not to have merit, do not in and of themselves indicate a pyramid scheme. In fact, I don't believe Mr. Donald Trump would recommend ACN if he thought it was not a legitimate company.
There are many people in the MLM industry who are using MLM as a way to cover up pyramid schemes. In every field of business there are those who don't play by the rules and try to make everyone else the patsy. I don't see how this could be different for network marketing. There is good and bad in all the people, things and businesses that you will encounter in life.
Don't let a couple of naysayers scare you away from a great opportunity. Do your own due diligence. Take the time to decide on the right MLM business for you. ACN is not a scam. They are a legitimate direct sales company that has stood the test of time and been around for over 15 years. They are committed to incorporating the latest technology into their system and to the success of their RVPs.
